Top Waiver Wire Adds in Week 7 (Fantasy Basketball)

Hi fellow Fantasy Basketball Players! We are back to provide you with the best waiver wire options for the upcoming week 7 of the 2019-2020 NBA season. Most of the suggestions can be found in at least 50% of Yahoo fantasy basketball leagues.

Aron Baynes of the Phoenix Suns | Mark J. Rebilas – USA TODAY Sports
  1. Aron Baynes (55% owned) – After missing five games due to hip injury, Aron Baynes started on Friday vs. the Dallas Mavericks and finished with 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 2.0 3-pointers while shooting 58.3% from the field in 24.6 minutes. Having Baynes back from an injury was great for the Suns. They need his inside presence because his fellow big man Deandre Ayton is still suspended. As a starter this season, Aron Baynes is averaging 15.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.0 3-pointers while shooting 56.1% from the field and 70.6% from the line in 33 minutes per game. In that period, he is the top 59 player in standard 9-category leagues. Thanks to the Phoenix Suns 4-game week, which includes some favorable matches vs. CHA, NOR, and HOU, Baynes is projected with a top 40+ value in week 7. Baynes is a nice add in standard leagues as long as Ayton is still out.
  2. Kelly Olynyk (42% owned) – Kelly Olynyk is the top 41 player in standard 9-category H2H leagues in the last 3 games with averages of 16.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.0 steal, 2.3 3-pointers while shooting 66.7% from the field and 100% from the line in 28.6 minutes per game. Olynyk scored in double figures in 7 out of the last nine games of the Miami Heat. He is inconsistent this season and is still coming off the bench behind Meyers Leonard, but he is thriving in the second unit. In the upcoming week, the Miami Heat will play two tough matches vs. TOR and BOS and two favorable games vs. WAS and CHI. Kelly Olynyk is projected with a top 60+ value in week 7, and he is a nice add in standard leagues for owners looking to boost their points, rebounds, and threes with good percentages.
  3. Rodney Hood (18% owned) – In the last three games, Rodney Hood is averaging 16.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.7 3-pointers while shooting an absurd 62.1% from the field and 83.3% from the line in 30.5 minutes per game. In that span, Hood is the top 40 player in standard 9-category H2H leagues. Hood is getting open looks probably because the defense is diverted to Carmelo Anthony. Rodney Hood is red hot right now, and it seems unsustainable, but I’m adding him in deep leagues where I need some threes and scoring. In week 7, the Portland Trail Blazers will play four tough games vs. LAC, SAC, LAL, and OKC, but Rodney Hood is still projected with a top 80+ value in the week ahead.
  4. Danuel House Jr. (47% owned) – In his last two games, Danuel House Jr. scored a total of 7.0 3-pointers, 3.0 steals and 39 points. In that period, he is the top 19 player in standard 9-category H2H leagues. House Jr. is the undisputed starting small forward for the Houston Rockets right now playing at least 30 minutes per game, and there is no sign of him slowing down barring any injury. He is a must-own player in standard leagues. And in week 7, he is projected with a top 70+ value despite the Houston Rockets only playing with three games.
  5. Nerlens Noel (43% owned) – In the last three games, Nerlens Noel is averaging 8.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks while shooting 66.7% from the field and 71.4% from the line in just 20.0 minutes per game. In that span, he is the top 116 player in standard 9-category H2H leagues. With Steven Adams still starting and showing some life lately, Nerlens Noel is more of a stash right now. He is a must-add in deep leagues and a nice speculative add in standard leagues. In week 7, the Oklahoma City Thunder will only play three games, but Noel is still projected with a top 90+ value where he can help managers who are looking to boost their FG% and defensive stats.

Other players to consider in week 7:

Cody Zeller– 49% owned ( projected top 70+ value/ easiest schedule but might be annoying to own due to inconsistent minutes and production/ add at your own risk)
Nemanja Bjelica – 38% owned ( projected top 70+ value/ streamer until Bagley is back)
Cory Joseph – 4% owned (projected top 70+ value/ assists and steals streamer until Fox is back)
Dwight Powell – 37% owned ( projected top 80+ value in week 7 despite inconsistent production/ add at your own risk)
Davis Bertans – 63% owned ( projected top 50+ value despite hard schedule in week 7/ add at your own risk)

Week 7 guide:

Top 5 easiest schedule (with 4 games) – Hornets, Kings, Bulls, Suns and Mavericks
Top 3 easiest schedule (with 3 games) – Clippers, Hawks, and Warriors
Top 3 hardest schedule (with 4 games) – Wizards, Blazers, Lakers, and Nuggets
Top 3 hardest schedule (with 3 games) – Raptors, Cavs, and Timberwolves
Least number of games (2 games) – Spurs and Celtics

Stats are based on standard 9cat H2H and Yahoo platform. Please also take note that I made this article before the 4 game slate of November 30, 2019 NBA Sched.
